Edison brawl snarls traffic on northbound I-95 ...
Feb 29/08
Interstate 95 northbound was closed around Northwest
62nd Street because of a morning brawl at Edison High School that drew
dozens of police cruisers. Dozens of police were called out to Miami's
Edison Senior High School Friday morning after an on-campus protest
got out of hand and led to scuffling between school officers and
students. The commotion at the school just east of Interstate 95 led
to the closing of the NE 62 Street exit ramp and caused a major
traffic tie-up that spilled into Miami's Northeast Little Haiti
neighborhood....

lanes of I-95 only moments after being ejected from his motorcycle in
what police are describing as a bizarre hit-and-run. The fatal

SunPass getting ready to trim its size and slash its price ...
Feb 18/08
From the ''We know you've heard this before, but this
time it might actually come true'' files: The folks at Florida's
Turnpike are preparing to roll out the new, improved and markedly
cheaper SunPass transponder, hopefully by July 1. The next generation
of electronic tolling will take the form of a credit-card sized
sticker that will sell for $4.95 -- a veritable bargain compared to
the $50 investment required to procure the wallet-sized white plastic
transponder used today by more than three million drivers.....
